Feel the thrill of skippering a yacht on a short passage with the support of the instructor. Plan the passage, prepare the boat, brief the crew and get set for sailing! Experience being in charge under supervision, which will guarantee the safety and the fun!

Itinerary
This is a very complete course where you will plan trips to other marinas such as Los Gigantes or plan to spend the afternoon at anchor. Get the chance to be the skipper around some of the western Canaries.
After this course you will be able to plan a passage, set the sails, organize your crew, prepare for anchoring and get set for mooring inside the marina like a boss.

- Preparation of vessel & crew for sea
- Deck work, sails, anchoring & mooring
- Pilotage out and in to the marina
- Assessing weather forecast and sea state
- Rules of the road & the COLREGS
- Basic maintenance at sea
- Stowing and provisioning for a passage
- Engines, yacht handling under power
- Passage making and night cruising
Notes
It is recommended to have the theory knowledge up to the RYA Day Skipper Shorebased course to make the most out of this experience. It will support most of the things you're required to do as a good skipper. After this course you can progress towards Coastal Skipper or do the Day Skipper Plus to get more responsibility and practice as a skipper.
